My belly looks like an ocean of waves sometimes. It's so crazy to watch them move. Especially on the bare belly, when they get close to delivery I can see elbows and knees flying everywhere. I was changing his morning diaper this morning ans he was still pretty upset about his "bad dream" and Rylie came in the room and said "What's the matter buddy? Did you have a bad dream? Well, you know what have to do when you have a bad dream? You just say a little prayer and ask Jesus to take away your bad dreams. You just say 'Jesus, please help me to not have bad dreams.' and he will take them away! That's what I do and it works every time!!" It was so sweet to hear her advice. We tell Rylie to say prayers when she's scared at night and so she felt very proud to be able to offer her words of wisdom to her scared little brother.

6 months

From The Taos

I do feel kinda silly for posting pics of just myself... but I figured I should document what my belly looked like a few times. At 6 months I am feeling pretty good. Well, maybe I'm just having a good day and so I think I'm feeling good. Tomorrow could be be a whole nother story! I feel like I'm in a good place though, I'm not sick anymore, and the baby isn't quite big enough to kick my ribs yet.....which I am dreading more than anything. My poor ribs take quite a beating! And she isn't big enough to be giving me constant heart burn yet. I feel her move all day and all night long, which kind of worries me, she is an active little one! Which again makes me grateful she is clear of my ribs for now. My pelvis has its good days and bad days. It depends on how much I am on my feet. If I am standing for to long I literally cannot walk. But I am grateful that it doesn't hurt all the time, yet. I am happy with my weight gain so far, I won't reveal how much I have gained but I am happy with it. I am still waiting to get the results from my heart monitor and find out what the plan of action is. I have an apt next week with the cardiologist. I am sleeping okay for now, thanks to the sleeping pills I have to take, which are absolute heaven! I'm not proud that I have to take sleeping aids, but if I don't take them I literally will not sleep, and I have to sleep to be able to function with my other two kids. So I take them, and they make me happy. So I feel relatively good for now. And I am grateful for everyday that I feel this way because I know it doesn't last!

Faces

Davis loves to make different faces for the different moods he has. I have never gone before...for good reason. We planned in going to the Super Target in Orem so we had to be there by like 4:30 am. So we get there and the line is already wrapped around the outer parking lot...we're talking hundreds and hundreds of people. They must have gotten there at like 2 in the morning. If anyone reading this was one of those people in the front of that line, I think you are absolutely insane. So we wait for the doors to open and go straight to the toys. I have never in my life seen madness like this. People were literally jammed packed together so we couldn't even move. People were fighting over toys and yelling... I couldn't wipe the look of amusement mixed with irritation off my face. People were eyeing our carts and seeing what we had, several people asked us where we got stuff and if we were keeping it so they could have it. It was insane. Like a scene from a movie. So it took about an hour for us to even be able to move around. We had to ditch our carts because it was to hard to maneuver them around. I was really confused because I felt like there weren't even any spectacular sales. Things were on sale, but nothing really to impressive. I didn't get it. And the things I really wanted, were not on sale. So I was kinda disappointed. I didn't sleep AT ALL the night before, between having to get up to pee several times and then having to get up at 4 to go, I was pretty tired. So once we felt like we got some good things we got in line. Ohhhhh the line. It was clear to the back of the store and wrapped around the building. Every single line was this long. So it took us literally an hour and a half to get through the line. We finally finished everything around 9:30 and headed home. We brought everything back to my house and sorted through it. There were 3 of us together and we spent collectively over $1000. I'm included in 1/10th of that total. :) My friends went a little crazy. And our total savings was over $500. The things you see in the above picture is what we got. And that is not including a few bikes, a luggage set, and some scooters they got. So we (they) scored. I just got the rest of the toys I wanted for the kids and the Glee soundtrack for me. :) (I absolutely love it!!!) So that was my nightmare, I mean morning. I don't know if I'll ever do this again. It was definitely an experience. Some people love this kind of stuff.....I would rather just buy it all online.

Thanksgiving Day

Here are some pics of our Thanksgiving. I am feeling overwhelmed with love for my friends and family. I am grateful for my husband and children and that they are all so healthy, for my home and my oven that is cooking my turkey right now, for my parents who are helping us out so tremendously, for my baby girl growing so well and making me feel so lucky to be able to get pregnant, for my brother on a mission, for my hair straightener, for real wreaths made out of Christmas tree branches that make my house smell so awesome, for Clorox disinfecting wipes, for diapers I can throw away, for a dishwasher, for my jetted bathtub, for Mr. Clean magic erasers, for my laptop, for dvd players that work, for my neighbors that we are sharing Thanksgiving with today, for the excuse to eat so much pumpkin pie today and hopefully gain 10 pounds (of baby weight of course) So happy Thanksgiving to everyone I love!

I got my heart monitor put on today. It is rather odd. I have about 7 wires connected to my chest with a little pager looking device that straps around my waist with a button that I push to record heart palpitations. I have to write down everything I do and eat. Its sorta awkward with all the wires coming off my body but I only have to do it for 24 hours. I had an echo cardiogram yesterday and that was kinda cool. They just do an ultrasound of my heart and look for abnormalities. The nurse said if they find anything structurally wrong they would have to do surgery......I'm really hoping I don't have to do that. That would be scary. But we are staying positive and hoping for normal results. I am suppose to continue life as normal but its really hard when I'm constantly thinking about what I'm doing and needing to write it down. I also can't be around microwaves...so I have to push start and then run out if the room. Its fun.

is there something in the water?

I am thoroughly amused. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the movie while it is still fresh in my mind. I thought it was definately directed better than the first one. Even though I enjoyed the first one, this one is different. I always get mad at the people who bag on these movies for being "cheesy" or having bad acting.....the books are cheesy people! The characters were written with these unreal personalities! The movies are actually better BECAUSE they are so similar to the books! The story is cheesy, the movies are gloriously cheesy and we are all entertained nonetheless. So lets focus on the positive, the special effects were better in this movie, the first time Jacob turns into a wolf I totally loved it. And he is HOT in this one! Totally ripped. It is a little depressing for the first half hour, but so is the book. I think they did an excellent job following the book. Bella is just as annoying as she is in the book and thus, true to character. I was pretty entertained the whole time and am overall glad I saw it. The chemistry between Bella and Edward was WAY better in this movie. The first time they kiss, it is unreal. So bravo on that. The line of poeple waiting for the midnight showing when we got out was out of control. There were people dressed up like vampires everywhere. People had shirts on that said "Team Jacob" or "Team Edward" I don't know why people even wear "Team Jacob" shirts. Have they not read the books? He doesn't get the girl! He loses people. You can stop voting for him. But people were going absolutely crazy for this movie. The end is a little strange but you'll have to go see and decide for your self. Overall, I think it was better than the first one so definately go and see it, but I'm not going to be surprised when the media tears it apart.

Its a girl!!!!

We are so excited to be adding another girl to our family! Poor Davis will just have to continue being girly, which is FINE!! I knew the whole time it was a girl. I had several dreams it was a girl and really had no doubt in my mind about it. Okay, maybe a little doubt, but I'm excited to get out all the baby girl clothes I have and sort through them. I haven't seen this stuff for 4 years! Here are some pictures of the little one, sorry about the quality of the pics, its really hard to take pictures of them because the paper is so shiny and you can't use a flash, so they are kinda blurry-

From The Taos

From The Taos

She is sucking her thumb in this one! I knew it was going to be challenging but I wanted to give it a shot because Michael loved it so much. But honestly, all I do is clean up dog hair off my couch, (which is close to impossible to get dog hair off of microfiber) mopping dog drool off the kitchen floor, cleaning up poop and pee because she does it in the house all the time, I can't do it anymore! I do not have the energy right now to clean up after two small children, a husband, and a dog. Michael doesn't have time to properly train her because he is at work or school all day every day. And I'm sure not going to train her so this behavior is going to continue forever. Our carpet is getting ruined from constantly needing to be scrubbed. Oh AND she eats dirty diapers and leaves the remnants all over my house!!!! Are you kidding me? And then always pukes it up at some point the next day. I am not cleaning that up!! She really is a lazy dog and sleeps all day, but the maintenance is out of control. She also has this problem where if she gets startled by the kids she will bite at them. She has bitten them a few times. Its not out of anger, just from being jumped on or scared. And I say.....ummmm... I'm going to have a baby in a few months and that baby will eventually be crawling all over that dog, I'm not risking having a dog that may or may not bite my baby's face off. No thank you. So I finally told Michael the other day that I had had enough and she needed to leave. We got into a discussion about it and he agreed that we could give her back to the pound. I would much rather sell her, but the pound has strict policies about selling adopted dogs. Her micro chip has all of our info in it so we can't sell her to anyone. We have to give her back to the pound. That really breaks my heart. As much of a pain in the rear she is, I don't' want her going to a bad home! And Michael still claims that he really likes the dog. I have no idea why. But he does. And I am feeling really bad about having to give her back but really, what am I suppose to do? She can't stay HERE anymore. I just wish I knew someone who could take her that I knew would take good care of her and train her properly. So I know its the right thing to get her out of here but I just feel bad about the whole thing. I think the only way I can ever have a dog again is if we had a back yard for it to be in. No more of this indoor dog stuff. I hate it.

Just an update

I'm so excited to find out what we're having next week! We find out on Wednesday at 9:30 am. So many things need to happen as soon as we find out. Depending on what it is will determine so many decorating decisions I've been waiting to make for the last few months. And what ever it is we can start clearing out all the clothes of what it isn't- down into storage and make lots of new room. Its funny that I have literally about 15 plastic totes of girl clothing from birth to age 4 and most of it is only from birth to age 1 and only about 5 totes of boy clothing total. I guess girls have funner baby clothes to buy?? I'm going to re-do an entire new nursery and I'm so excited to start a new project. My awesome sister in law is helping me out with some vinyl, she has a vinyl cutter and is being so generous and cutting out LOTS of fun stuff to put on the walls. I'll try and take a 20 week picture of the belly just because its the half way mark. The baby is kicking around all the time. I feel like he/she is constantly moving. I don't' know if that's a good or bad sign of things to come.:) I can't button up any of my pants any more and I refuse to wear maternity pants because they fall down all day and I can never find any that are long enough. Even though this is my 3rd baby I still get just as excited about all the little milestones that are happening. It's all still just as exciting. I did however injure my pelvis pretty seriously when I was about 8 months pregnant with Davis and the old injury in starting to make itself known again as the baby gets big enough to put pressure on it. So that's not a pleasant sensation. It makes it so I have to walk like a penguin. I have a serious waddle going on. I told Michael that all I want for Christmas is a package of 2o massages so I can get one once a week til the baby comes. That would be ideal.

My back hurts

Today I would like to write a post about a muscle. This muscle is called the erector spinea and it is located in your back, and it runs from your upper spine to your pelvis and goes right over your kidneys. This muscle does not like it when the human body is pregnant. It does not like being pushed on and it especially does not like it when you sleep because the baby puts too much pressure on it and decides to make you feel like your kidneys are going to explode. You can't breath or turn your back or walk or sit comfortably. This muscle is a huge pain in the........back. This muscle only likes to make itself known when there is a baby pushing on it, other than that, it is an invisible, painless part of your anatomy that helps you bend your back. This muscle is also impossible to reach, it is hidden under layers of tissues and thick muscle, including your latisimus dorsi and your thoracolumbar apparnurosis, making it an impossible task to try and relieve any discomfort you have. So it leaves you stuck, it pain and wishing you were dead at times. :) Oh how I've missed this muscle and am so happy it has made its triumphant return into my life and will not leave until the baby exits my body. I look forward to spending time with this muscle, especially at 3:23 in the morning.

sometimes you get a payoff

I try and teach my children good manners. Like saying please, thank you, may I, etc. Today it was so cute. We were sitting at the table eating dinner and Davis was throwing a fit about eating his food. He threw his fork across the kitchen and was then black listed. We were waiting for him to settle down and stop crying. Once he did, he asked Rylie to get his fork for him and said "Ryree, you get my fork?" and she said "I'm waiting for you to say please" so he said please and she said "Of course I would love to get your fork for you when you ask so nicely!" She sounded just like me. Then Davis said "I try harder not to throw my fork." (I always make them say they will try harder to work on what ever the issue it is at that moment.) Then he says "only throw bakseball." (thats how he says basketball) I busted up laughing. The whole conversation was so cute and rewarding. I love when Rylie tries to teach Davis what he's suppose to do, it makes me feel like she is actually learning things from me. And now I'm listening to them in the bath saying "don't bite me!" and "that's MY necklace, give it to me NOW!!!" It's a long learning process.....

Hospital visit

Today I had a nice little scare. I have been having heart issues with this pregnancy and the other day I almost passed out for no apparent reason and thought it would be a good idea to call my nurse and let her know about it. She asked me all about the heart flutters I've been having and I told her they have been getting worse. She said I needed to go in for an emergency EKG. So I went over to the hospital right away and had all these wires hooked up to me and had some blood taken. I have to wait until tomorrow to hear the results but I have a feeling it's not going to be good. My phone for some reason won't take incoming calls because of some problem with T-mobile and I'm so frustrated about it. They don't know how long it will take to fix and so I have to wait for them. I think this calls for yet another angry call to T-mobile demanding a free cell phone!! To bad all their customer service lines are down too! Convenient!! So I'm all flustered about it. I'm sure everything will be okay with my health, but I don't like having any problems especially when your preggers.

unemployed

I have some mixed feelings about what happened today. I got laid off again from my job doing massage for APX alarms. The girl I was working for doesn't need me anymore because her husband got laid off and now she needs to work all the hours she can. The company only allows a certain amount of hours each week and we were splitting them up. So now she needs all of them. I am kinda relived, kinda bummed. I have been having a hard time going into work and giving other people massages when I felt so yucky. But it was a good break from the kids and my house. And I got paid pretty good. That money was suppose to be our Christmas money....I guess we'll have to find another way. :) And I went in on Saturdays which is really our only day to spend together as a family and now we can try to do some fun things together. And its not like I can really work for very much longer anyway. I just liked having the consistant check and break from everything. Oh well. What can you do? I still do massages out of my house so come on over!!
