calling all food storage enthusiasts

For Christmas this year I am putting together a food storage cook book for all of my family and friends. I want the recipes to be simple enough that anyone can use them, yet good enough that you will actually eat them. I would like them to be made out of simple food storage items. I am also going to configure a list of the items that you would need to buy to make everything in the cookbook. So its okay if the recipe calls for dried onions, I will just add that to the list of things you need buy. Does that make sense? So I need anyone who has some good recipes to please leave them as comments or email them to me at andrea.tao@hotmail.com. I would like to include who the recipe is from if you don't mind. So please feel free to contribute, I really need all I can get!!! I have become obsessed with food storage but don't always know what to do with things I have, so I think a food storage cookbook would help. I need some ideas as to what to do with the 100 lbs of wheat I have or it will just sit there while we will starve! :)

I do a lot of homemade tortillas, they are so so easy but I don't go by a recipe, I just trow it all together until it looks right. I can tell you whats in it then you could figure out the portions it you would like. Tortillas are good for when you run out of yeast, and can't make bread anymore, but still have flour, you know what I mean? So it's flour, salt ,butter (butter is optional, it just adds flavor, and only add about a Tbs.) & water. Work with about a cup of flour. Make the dough a little sticky, and then add the extra flour to the individual balls. the Key is to not over knead, and have your pan really Hot (un-greased) If your tortilla isn't done with in 5 minutes, your pan is to cold. Well that may or may not be what you were looking for, sorry if I am totally lame. good luck though.
